Rovinj is an absolute gem of a town in the Istria region of Croatia. Whilst I haven’t seen some of Croatia’s more well-known coastal cities, I can honestly say that Rovinj would still be one of my favourites.
I’ve visited twice now, a few years ago, but both times I was blown away by how beautiful the town was with it’s cobbled streets and cafes that spill out on to the plaza around the harbour. From all angles you can see the impressive Church of St Euphemia that sits atop the town and, if you’re up for a challenge, you can climb the wooden stairs to the top of the tower for unrivalled views of Rovinj.
I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia.

All shots taken on a Nikon D5000 and the 35mm f/1.8 and 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 lenses.
Beautiful photos of what clearly must be a beautiful place. You are making us want to add more Mediterranean coast to our list.
Your photos are amazing. I am going to Croatia at the end of this month and very excited now. How did you go from Pula to Rovinj?
Thank you! Ah you’ll have a brilliant time! I think we got the public bus which was actually a lot easier than you’d think! I can’t remember the exact details I’m afraid as it was three years ago now but definitely worth it!
Thank you! I’ll check the bus :).
Thank you!! It’s really nice. Nothing better than a beer overlooking the marina! You definitely have to go here 😀
Beautiful shots. I haven’t been to Croatia yet. Your photos are inspiring.
Thank you! I’m glad they’re inspiring hopefully you will get chance to go now!
