It’s been quiet over here hasn’t it! Having been four months since my last blog post, you’d be forgiven for thinking that I’d completely given up on my travel/photography blogging hobby. However, there has been a very good reason for my radio silence and the clue is in the title.

At 11:20pm on 11th February 2022, I became a father. Emma and I became parents to our beautiful daughter, Evelyn.

I managed to take four weeks off work which was absolutely perfect to help settle in to life with a baby! We did manage a fair few trips out, ate some good food and watched all but one of Wes Anderson’s movies. Obviously my cameras came everywhere with us.

I don’t think anything really prepares you for becoming a parent but, despite the fact I am exhausted and caring for a little newborn is challenging (understatement!), I can’t imagine much better.

Now what I am sure of is, once I find a little more time, I’m going to keep up with this blog of mine. No doubt having Evelyn will change the way we travel and the way I think about my photography but I’m excited to document life all the same.

Cheers.
