Well this is probably one of the strangest blog posts I’ll ever come to write on my travel blog. It involves absolutely no form of travelling whatsoever. We all know what a horrible and scary time this is with the Coronavirus pandemic across the world. I won’t go into my feelings here, no-one wants to hear me moan and you’re probably all feeling the same as I am anyway as we’re forced into isolation.
For me, I’m still working full-time though now from the comfort of my own home. The last few weeks have been busy; very busy. I’ve still found time though to pick up the camera almost every day.
In the midst of all this, I bought a new lens (yes I have a problem) and it’s been permanently attached to my camera ever since. I’ll post about the lens separately; let’s just say it’s magical! Isolation has made me think outside of the box in terms of photography and I’m trying to document as much of our daily lives as possible. When this is all over, whenever that may be, I want to look back on our time at home with at least some sense of productivity.
All photos are taken on the Fujifilm X-T2 and are all JPEGs using mostly the settings here.
I really like your photographs.Nice one! 🙂
Thank you, that’s really appreciated!
Introspective and evocative photos Jamie. Is your new lens a 16mm F1.4 by any chance ? Waiting for that lens review.
Thank you! Most of these pictures were 35mm f1.4 which is very new but I do have the 16mm f1.4 which I’ll do a review and some pics for asap! Thanks!
I really enjoyed shooting at home for the first two months. I was easily getting through two rolls of film and some digital every week but I’ve definitely been slowing down lately.
Yeah me too, I haven’t been shooting as much the last few weeks as things gradually start to feel a bit more normal!
That photo of the bike is beautiful! What bike is it?
Thank you! It’s from State Bicycles, absolutely love it!
