Mazara del Vallo is a beautiful city on the south-west coast of Sicily featuring a fascinating mix of history, culture and ethinicity. This is my visual guide to street photography in Mazara del Vallo.
Mazara del Vallo is a surprisingly beautiful city on the south-west coast of Sicily which, thanks to its proximity to Tunisia, has more of an Arab/North African feel than that of Italy. The city manages to combine a Kasbah with its labyrinth of duty alleyways, a stunning Norman cathedral, more churches than you can imagine all alongside one of the most important fishing ports in the Mediterranean.

This post is part of my ‘On The Streets’ series which sees me share my photographs from various places across the world with little emphasis on the words but more so on the images themselves. The series is still very much a work in progress and I’ll keep on adding new posts as and when I get chance. Here are a few that you can check out in the meantime:
Now it’s time to explore the city so let’s dive into my street photography in Mazara del Vallo.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IN MAZARA DEL VALLO
THE DETAILS
All of the photographs below were captured on the Fujifilm X-T5 with my Classic Neg recipe; so yes they’re all pretty much straight out of camera with little post-processing. In terms of lenses, obviously the Fujifilm 35mm f/1.4 was almost glued to my camera at all times though I did enjoy taking the (new to me) Fujifilm 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens for its first outing. There will be one or two images shot with the Fujifilm 23mm f/1.4 too but primarily I used the first two lenses mentioned above.
