Let’s take to the streets of Copenhagen. Here’s a collection of my photos from four nights in the city with the family!
I really enjoy pulling these posts together as it’s a great opportunity to share all of my photos from a trip without being subject to the negative effects of social media. I can share all the photos that I absolutely love no matter what others may think about them. I love the fact that I can create a collection of photos that will hopefully inspire others whether visiting the same particular place or those that are intrigued as to what Fujifilm cameras and their lenses help me achieve.
I visited Copenhagen back in August 2025 with the family where we spent four nights celebrating my birthday as well as our first city break with two little ones! What you will see here is a mix of basic street photography in Copenhagen as well as just general travel shots of stuff that I thought looked cool, basically anything that took my interest. I didn’t manage any specific photo walks unfortunately so everything is just simply captured as and when we are wandering around the city altogether – you can imagine that that might not necessarily be too conducive to relaxing street photography where you need to get right into the zone.
If you’re thinking of heading to Copenhagen, you might have to check out my posts on the best things to do in Copenhagen and my review of the 25hours hotel too.
My ‘On The Streets’ series takes us across the world with short posts focusing solely on my unique style of travel and street photography. The series will never be complete but here’s a look at where I’ve covered so far:
Ok, now it’s time for a virtual wander around the streets of Copenhagen with a special treat coming in the form of a quick day trip to Malmö. This is my take on street photography in Copenhagen and I hope you enjoy!.
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IN COPENHAGEN
THE DETAILS
In terms of the specifics, I used my Fujifilm X-T5 with a mix of the Fujifilm 18mm f/1.4, Fujifilm 35mm f/1.4, Fujifilm 50mm f/2 and Fujifilm 56mm f/1.2 (don’t judge me on two lenses so close in focal length, I fancied trying both again to see which one I prefer) and a first trip abroad for the Fujifilm X100VI (with a fixed focal length of 23mm).
That’s quite a mix of focal lengths that you would probably immediately think, Jamie, why on earth do you just use a standard zoom lens – 18-55mm covers all of my favourite focal lengths for a city break. Now that would be sensible wouldn’t it. I do love the Fujifilm 18-55mm f/2.8-4 but I much prefer the 18mm / 35mm / 56mm combination despite the constant changing of lenses and I can never leave the 35mm f/1.4 at home. You might want to read my celebration of five years with that lens here to see why!
I thought I’d add something a little extra here too; a breakdown of how many of my final images were taken with which lens:
Total – 666 images
18mm – 128
35mm – 154
50mm – 33
56mm – 74
X100VI – 277
It’s interesting to see what in terms of focal lengths at least, I preferred the 23mm which I have always found a nice balance between the wider 18mm and tighter 35mm especially for cities.
Finally, if you want to know exactly which Fujifilm recipe I used to create these images then you’re in good luck. I used my ‘Summer Negative’ recipe with the finishing touches described in detail here.
