The First Sunday Walk With Evelyn

Due to a combination of post-lockdown malaise, Emma’s pregnancy and the early days of Evelyn’s life, it’s been a long time since we’ve been for a long family walk together. That all changed recently when we managed a first Sunday walk with Evelyn at just eight weeks old.

The Monochrome Cities: Manchester

It’s taken well over 12 months but I’m finally able to share the next collection of images in my Monochrome Cities series. With the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, I was able to visit Manchester for the first time in almost six years and I found it lent itself to shooting solely in black and white. Manchester is a city full of colour, full of Victorian red brick buildings but when you strip that back you’ll find that the city’s soul still stands out.

Anyway, in this series, I let the pictures do the talking and so hopefully you’ll enjoy these as much as I do. For those who are interested in finding out exactly how to shoot images like this straight from your camera, check out my post on the Fujifilm Acros film simulation here.
