On The Streets: Vilnius, Lithuania

The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, is historic, quirky and utterly walkable meaning that it’s a perfect location to head to the streets with a camera in hand. This is my visual guide to street photography in Vilnius, Lithuania.

I visited Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, back in July 2023 as part of my first ever press trip abroad. I, along with other travel bloggers and journalists, cycled across Lithuania through gigantic evergreen forests and Cold War-era Russian holiday camps and spent time at lakeside castles and in famous spa towns. Visiting Lithuania has made me fall in love with the Baltic States and now I can’t wait to visit both Estonia and Latvia!

I didn’t get chance to spend too long in Vilnius unfortunately thanks to a cancelled flight and numerous delays so the photographs below were all captured within about an hour at 7:30am. I did however walk far too fast and covered several miles tiring myself prior to day one of our cycling trip. Now that’s commitment right? Plus, you get an ultra rare photo of me included!

My ‘On The Streets’ series takes us across the world with short posts focusing solely on my unique style of travel and street photography. The series will never be complete but here’s a look at where I’ve covered so far:

Right, let’s take a wander around the capital of Lithuania. This is my take on street photography in Vilnius.

THE DETAILS

These photos were all taken with the Fujifilm X-T5 with my Classic Neg recipe. As always, my number one lens for travel photography (well, all photography to be honest), the Fujifilm 35mm f/1.4, was responsible for most of the photos but I also enjoyed putting the Fujifilm 23mm f/1.4 through its paces.
